Basketball Recap: Wethersfield Takes a Loss

Wethersfield came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 61-28 loss at the hands of the Rocky Hill Terriers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Terriers are ranked 18th).

Wethersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Rocky Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Wethersfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rocky Hill, they and Somers will face off at 6:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Somers has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Rocky Hill will come in with seven straight wins.
