Basketball Recap: Freeland Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Freeland won the last time they faced Hemlock and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Freeland Falcons walked away with a 60-52 win over the Hemlock Huskies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

When it comes to explaining why Hemlock lost, don't look at Victoria Hauffe. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 16 on her way to 25 points along with six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Hauffe a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Klaira Salo, who posted nine points and five steals.

Freeland pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hemlock, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1.

Freeland will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Pleasant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hemlock, they will venture away from home to challenge Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
