The Stratford Spartans will square off against the Memorial Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Memorial will be up against a hot Stratford squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Spartans put the hurt on Cypress Ridge with a sharp 12-1 win on Tuesday.

Gwyn Katterhenry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Marielle Kiersh was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Allison Hibbetts, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.
Kiersh wasn't the only one making solid contact: Stratford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cypress Ridge only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Memorial waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Falcons an 11-0 shutout.
The team relied heavily on Isabella Borrego, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Vlasak, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Stratford pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Memorial, their record now sits at 20-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Stratford hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Memorial struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Stratford couldn't quite get it done against Memorial in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 5-2. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
