Soccer Recap: Silver Creek Comes Up Short

Silver Creek lost against Boulder back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raptors came up short against the Panthers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Silver Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Boulder are ranked second).

This is the second loss in a row for Silver Creek and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Boulder, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Coming up, Silver Creek will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Holy Family at 6:00 p.m. Silver Creek will be up against Holy Family's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.67 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Boulder, they will head out to square off against Ralston Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Boulder 0.3, Ralston Valley 0.2) so any goals scored will be well earned.
