Basketball Recap: North Allegheny Comes Up Short

North Allegheny was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meadville Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 70th).

Jack Burchard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Meadville, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. The contest was Burchard's 15th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tykie Butler, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 13 points and seven assists.

North Allegheny's record now sits at 7-15. As for Meadville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

North Allegheny does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meadville, they will welcome DuBois at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meadville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.4 points per game this season.
