Recap: Ursuline Fighting Irish vs. Chardon Hilltoppers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ursuline Fighting Irish can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 31-14 to Chardon. Ursuline's loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.
Jack Ericson threw for 226 yards and a touchdown. DC Ferrell was his top target, picking up 118 receiving yards.
Ursuline's defeat dropped their record down to 13-1. As for Chardon, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Ursuline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chardon is on the road again on Friday and play against Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Chardon likes a good challenge.
