Baseball Recap: Point Loma Comes Up Short

Point Loma fell victim to Patrick Henry and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Point Loma and nudges their season record down to 11-5-1. As for Patrick Henry, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Loma will take on University City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pointers are facing the Centurions at the right time seeing as the Centurions are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Patrick Henry, they will square off against St. Augustine at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 2.6, the Saints 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
