Mexia waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 88-55 victory over the Teague Lions. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for the Black Cats this season.

Despite the defeat, Teague saw an underclassman step up: freshman Carter Stacks posted 15 points and eight boards. Stacks is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Brayden Leija was another key player, putting up seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Mexia's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for Teague, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Mexia has already played their next match, a 91-44 victory against Buffalo on the 4th. As for Teague, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-39 loss against Elkhart on the 4th.
