Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon Rams vs. Murphysboro Red Devils
Mt. Vernon won the last time they faced Murphysboro and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Rams walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Red Devils.

Danicah Tobin was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
Tobin wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Howard, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
