Baseball Game Preview: Canyon Springs Cougars vs. Vista del Lago Ravens

For the second straight game, Canyon Springs will face off against Vista del Lago. The Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Ravens at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Canyon Springs is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Vista del Lago with a sharp 14-6 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won four in a row.

Dylan Andrews was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Canyon Springs is undefeated when Andrews posts two or more runs, but 6-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of David Valdez, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Andrews wasn't the only one making solid contact: Canyon Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.

Vista del Lago is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10. As for Canyon Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
