Basketball Recap: Aiden Rollins Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Franklin walked away with it. They came out on top against the Oak Ridge Trojans by a score of 57-49 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Trojans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 66-53 defeat.

Franklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Rollins, who went 7-for-16 en route to 20 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The matchup was Rollins' fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Benjamin Sandy was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.

Loss or not, Oak Ridge got some senior leadership from Connor Sullivan and Kaleb Edwards. Sullivan dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards, while Edwards almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sullivan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Huang, who posted six points.

Franklin's record is now 23-6. As for Oak Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-10 record this season.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-61 defeat against Modesto Christian on the 21st. Oak Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
