Recap: Brunswick Railroaders vs. Boonsboro Warriors
The Brunswick Railroaders had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They managed a 41-35 win over Boonsboro on Tuesday. That looming 41-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Brunswick yet this season.
Brunswick was led to victory by Andie Welsh and Gabby Stefanic. Welsh dropped a double-double on ten points and 19 rebounds, while Stefanic scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stefanic has scored at least 25% of Brunswick's points. Another player making a difference was Maddy Hoffman, who scored five points along with five steals.
Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Boonsboro, they bumped their record down to 1-2 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brunswick will take on Walkersville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boonsboro, they will head out on the road to face off against Smithsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
