Volleyball Recap: Central Extends Winning Streak to Four

Central waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Allatoona Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since October 2, 2024.

Macey Mount paced Central's offense, picking up 17 kills. Mount got some help from Abigayle Rowland and her 13 assists. Rowland also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Katelynn Hunter, racking up two apiece.

Central's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Allatoona, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will take on Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Allatoona, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
