Softball Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Akron on Tuesday, Wilson came back down to earth. The Lakemen came up short against the East Aurora Blue Devils on Thursday, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lakemen of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Wilson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Hardy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for East Aurora, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Wilson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-3 win against Medina on the 25th. As for East Aurora, they will take on Tonawanda at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
