Shenango barely beat New Castle the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hurricanes  a   13-0 shutout  on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matches by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Jonathan Santangelo looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Joey Campoli was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matt Fry, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
Shenango is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for New Castle,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-16.
 Looking ahead, Shenango will face off against Poland Seminary at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. New Castle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
