While Cheshire's win against Mercy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted against the Tigers since April 17, 2019.

Cheshire's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Mercy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheshire will host Amity Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mercy, they will welcome Shelton at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
