Recap: Tooele Buffaloes vs. Hillcrest Huskies
The Tooele Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 54-47 to Hillcrest. Tooele has struggled against Hillcrest recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Tooele lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Crew Lewis, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ethan B rogers, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillcrest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damani Wilkerson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Rhett Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tooele's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-11. As for Hillcrest, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Tooele will head out on the road to face off against Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Stansbury is ranked 112th, while Tooele is ranked 113th). As for Hillcrest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Murray has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 728 points over their last 11 games.
