Softball Recap: Berkner Falls to Ryan in First Game of Season

Berkner had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 20-1 to the Ryan Raiders. The Rams' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row dating back to last season.

Berkner saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasmyne Bell, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Bell a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Ryan and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berkner has already played their next matchup (against North Mesquite), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ryan is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Lake Dallas at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
