Football Recap: Stagg Skates Past West with Ease

Stagg came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the West Wolfpack 42-7. The Delta Kings pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolfpack had little chance of recovering from.

It was another big night for Darnell Holmes, who rushed for 210 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Holmes is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least three every time he's taken the field this season.

Holmes was just one part of a punishing run game: Stagg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 288 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Stagg's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for West, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Stagg has already played their next game, a 56-7 victory against Weston Ranch on the 26th. As for West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 40-21 defeat against McNair on the 26th.
