Softball Recap: Nelson County Drops Highest Score of Season Against Stuarts Draft

Nelson County scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 8-3 to the Stuarts Draft Cougars. The defeat leaves the Governors still looking for their first win of the season.

Nelson County's record is now 0-4. As for Stuarts Draft, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nelson County will face off against Chatham at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chatham's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Nelson County's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Stuarts Draft, they will square off against Waynesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
