Baseball Preview: North Callaway Thunderbirds vs. Montgomery County Wildcats

North Callaway and Montgomery County are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The North Callaway Thunderbirds will head out on the road to challenge the Montgomery County Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Callaway can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They blew past Mark Twain 14-1. Winning may never get old, but North Callaway sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Carter Moore made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned run or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Moore was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, North Callaway got a big performance out of Tucker Sheets, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Coltyn O'Neal was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Indians.
