Baseball Recap: Youngker Extends Winning Streak to Six

While Youngker put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Buckeye. The Roughriders blew past the Hawks 10-0. The Roughriders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by nine runs or more this season.

Youngker's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was David Molina, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory (which was Youngker's sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Buckeye, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Youngker will face off against rival Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Buckeye is set to take on their familiar foe Verrado at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
