Soccer Game Preview: Westside vs. Heights

The Westside Wolves and the Heights Bulldogs will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westside has three straight victories, Heights has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Westside's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Cesar E. Chavez. Considering Wolves have won three games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Alizon Ayala and Sophia Wilkinson scored all three of Westside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Heights' offense. They came up short against Bellaire on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Westside's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
