Baseball Preview: Mountain View Lobos vs. Clint Lions
Mountain View hasn't had much luck against Clint recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lobos will challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Mountain View will be strutting in after a win while Clint will be coming in after a defeat.
Mountain View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-8 margin over San Elizario on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Lobos in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Mountain View got a massive performance out of Gerardo Gandara, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave Gandara a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Myron Galindo, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Clint finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fabens. The shutout was out of character for the Lions seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.
Clint saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alonzo Guadian, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 11-12-1. As for Clint, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-11-1.
