Basketball Recap: Keenan Extends Winning Streak to Four

Keenan had won three straight games and Brian Sumpter did his part to make it four on Monday. The Keenan Raiders snuck past the Crestwood Knights with a 67-61 win thanks in part to Sumpter, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played.

Broderick Anderson Jr was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Keenan's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Crestwood, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keenan will face off against Newberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Keenan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups. As for Crestwood, they will venture away from home to square off against South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crestwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully South Florence likes a good challenge.
