Basketball Recap: Brookfield Bobcats vs. Stratford Red Devils
The Brookfield Bobcats's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-58 victory over Stratford. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Shane Weber was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Brookfield's points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Horton, who scored 16 points.
Brookfield's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Stratford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Brookfield will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Immaculate's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Stratford, they will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
