Football Game Preview: Randle Lions vs. Lamar Consolidated Mustangs + How To Watch

The Randle Lions will take on the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Randle humbled Santa Fe with a 62-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Amari Louisville went supernova, rushing for 65 yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Lamar Consolidated had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Lee 35-11 on Thursday. With the Mustangs ahead 28-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Randle better focus on containing Edgar Garcia and Larry Clinton as the pair were huge in Lamar Consolidated's win. Garcia rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while Clinton rushed for 108 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Garcia a new career-high.

Lamar Consolidated's run defense was locked in: Lee could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The Mustangs didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged seven.

Lamar Consolidated's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Randle, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Everything came up roses for Randle against Lamar Consolidated in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 73-0 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
