Football Game Preview: Jefferson County Tigers vs. Suwannee Bulldogs

Jefferson County hasn't had much luck against Suwannee recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Jefferson County 12.2, Suwannee 7.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

Jefferson County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They managed a 12-6 win over Taylor County. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Suwannee's game last Friday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 19-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Suwannee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Jefferson County, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Jefferson County might still be hurting after the 32-6 loss they got from Suwannee in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 32-0.
