Basketball Recap: Northwest Area Starts Season with Loss at Home

Northwest Area unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Pittston Patriots and fell 74-19. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Area will host Hanover Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pittston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Scranton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
