Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Fyffe couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Piedmont Bulldogs 36-0 on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Red Devils were not able to get on the board.

A big part of Piedmont's victory came down to the chemistry between Cole Austin and his top target Rollie Pinto. Austin threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes while Pinto gained 107 total yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Austin has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Howard, who rushed for 65 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Fyffe's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Piedmont, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
