Softball Recap: Hermiston Bulldogs vs. Richland Bombers
After flying high against Walla Walla on Friday, Hermiston came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Richland Bombers on Tuesday, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bombers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.
Hermiston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Virgil, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Hermiston has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Richland, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
