With a playoff win on the line, Humble Christian rose to the challenge on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 57-25 victory over the School of the Woods Wildcats. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Humble Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lilly McMullen led the charge by dropping a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. McMullen has become a key player for Humble Christian: the team is 5-1 when she posts at least ten boards, but 4-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Deriyah Williams, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

Humble Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why School of the Woods lost, don't look at Kate Checo-Leckova. Despite the final result, she posted six points along with nine boards and five blocks. Checo-Leckova has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Olivia Nettles was another key player, putting up seven steals.

Humble Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for School of the Woods, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
