Baseball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 two weeks ago.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Clyde-Savannah, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-6 defeat against Williamson on the 14th. As for Clyde-Savannah, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Sodus on the 14th.
