Volleyball Recap: Verdugo Hills Victorious

Verdugo Hills won the last time they faced Monroe, and Lucy Evans did her part to make sure it happened again. The Dons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Vikings on Monday with plenty of help from Evans, who had 19 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Verdugo Hills was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-19, 14-25, 25-20, 17-15.
