Basketball Recap: Harlandale Takes a Loss

After flying high against Winn last Tuesday, Harlandale came back down to earth. The Harlandale Indians took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Legacy Titans. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Giovanni Aranda was his usual excellent self, putting up 19 points and eight boards for Southwest Legacy. That makes it three consecutive games in which Aranda has scored at least a third of Southwest Legacy's points. Savian Martinez was another key player, posting 11 points.

Harlandale's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Southwest Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 12-16.

Harlandale has already played their next matchup (against McCollum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southwest Legacy has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Winn.
