Softball Preview: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions vs. Solon Comets        
        
		
            
 The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions will be playing at home against the Solon Comets at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will be strutting in after a  victory while Solon will be coming in after a  loss.
 Last Tuesday, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin beat Beaumont School 6-2.
  Alex Mould spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than seven  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Lily Rader was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Becca Wooke was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Solon suffered a  rough 24-6 defeat at the hands of Brecksville-Broadview Heights  on Wednesday.
  Janie Radis was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ali Palsa, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin pushed their record up to 6-8 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Solon, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record  this season.
