Volleyball Recap: Buckhorn Takes a Loss

Buckhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jellico Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2019.

Buckhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Jellico, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coming up, Buckhorn will face off against Leslie County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jellico, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Barbourville on the 23rd.
