Soccer Game Preview: Highland Park vs. The Colony

The Highland Park Scots will take on The Colony Cougars at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Highland Park is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Wakeland, who was ranked first at the time (Highland Park was ranked sixth). The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Friday. The Scots' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, The Colony's game on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand Newman Smith a 3-0 shutout.

With that draw, Highland Park's record moves to 8-2-1. As for The Colony, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 3-7-2.
