Baseball Game Preview: Parkview Vikings vs. Webb City Cardinals

The Parkview Vikings will head out to square off against the Webb City Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Parkview comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Central hit Parkview with a six-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-2 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Aidan Tessaro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Holden Oliver also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Webb City challenged Willard on Monday. The Cardinals came up short against the Tigers, falling 20-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parkview's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Webb City, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Parkview might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Webb City in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
