Volleyball Recap: Riesel Takes a Loss

Riesel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls.

Rylan Stein paced Riesel's offense, picking up ten kills. Stein got some help from Avery Jackson and her ten assists. Raizel Chaparro controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Riesel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Anderson-Shiro, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Riesel and Anderson-Shiro will both be playing Brazos Christian the next time they take the court. The Fighting Owls will head out to face the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
