Amelia County dropped their record down to 3-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Randolph-Henry Statesmen by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered against the Statesmen since April 13, 2022.

As for Randolph-Henry, their win bumped their record up to 3-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since June 4, 2024.

For Randolph-Henry's part, Kendall Snead spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. Snead has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hadleigh Duffer was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Lindsay Locke was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Looking ahead, Amelia County will square off against Lunenburg Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Randolph-Henry, they will challenge Appomattox County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
