Volleyball Recap: Lauren Wasson and Annabelle Layton Secure Win for Frontier

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North White, Frontier was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bethesda Christian Patriots by a score of 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 20-25, 25-17.

Leading Frontier to victory were Annabelle Layton and Lauren Wasson. Layton had 24 assists, while Wasson had eight digs and two aces. What's more, Wasson posted two assists, the most she's had over her last six contests. Lucy Hendryx also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Frontier was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive games.

The victory got Frontier back to even at 4-4. As for Bethesda Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Frontier will take on Tri-County in a tournament on Saturday. As for Bethesda Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Herron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
