Basketball Recap: Timarian Howard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Immokalee over Cape Coral

Immokalee was the 44-24 winner over Cape Coral when they last played one another back in February of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Immokalee Indians took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cape Coral Seahawks. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Immokalee's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Timarian Howard, who went 6 of 15 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. The game was Howard's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jose Marquez, who posted ten points.

Immokalee's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Cape Coral, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Immokalee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-56 victory against The Village School of Naples on the 4th. As for Cape Coral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-43 win against South Fort Myers on the 4th.
