Volleyball Recap: Adrian Takes a Loss

Adrian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Springfield Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Thursday.

Adrian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.

Adrian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Springfield, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Adrian is set to challenge their familiar foe Washtenaw Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Springfield will square off against rival Northview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
