 After flying high against LaSalle Academy  last Saturday, Cardinal Spellman came back down to earth. The Cardinal Spellman The Pilots fell just short of the Albertus Magnus Falcons by a score of  7-5 on Monday.
 For Albertus Magnus' part,  Aiden Iazzetti looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned run off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  Joseph Dwyer was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Daniel Coyle was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Cardinal Spellman's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Albertus Magnus, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that  win, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cardinal Spellman will  face off against Salesian at 12:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Albertus Magnus, they will head out on the road to  take on  Tappan Zee at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
