Football Recap: JW North Takes a Loss

JW North extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-7. They had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Liberty Bison. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 49-14 to the Bison when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Keilor Pizarro threw for 94 yards on seven of 16 attempts. Justin Correa was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards.

As for Liberty, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season.

It was another big night for Trent Hallis, who rushed for 100 yards on only ten carries, and also picked up 57 receiving yards.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. JW North is set to take on their familiar foe Orange Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Liberty will challenge rival Rancho Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
