Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Legend

Fort Collins came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Legend, but Mason Borcherding wouldn't allow it. The Legend Titans were the clear victor by a 64-38 margin over the Fort Collins Lambkins on Wednesday thanks in part to Borcherding, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 20 points along with eight boards and seven steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Stanley, who posted ten points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Several Lambkins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Annika Vandalen, who put up seven points and eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds gave Vandalen a new career-high. Laney Matson was another key player, putting up six points.

The victory made it two in a row for Legend and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Fort Collins, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Legend wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-49 win against Windsor on the 13th. As for Fort Collins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-43 victory against Kent Denver on the 13th.
