Softball Recap: Eagan Wildcats vs. Apple Valley Eagles
Eagan had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They fell just short of the Apple Valley Eagles by a score of 3-2. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 7-6 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Eagan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Bertrand, who went 3-for-4 with one double.
As for Apple Valley, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 23, 2025.
On Apple Valley's side, Keura Roloff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits.
