Volleyball Recap: 12 Straight Road Wins for Sandburg

Sandburg waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Sandburg never let Riverside-Brookfield on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22.

Jeremiah Aro paced Sandburg's offense, picking up ten kills. Aro got some help from Easton Donausky and his 19 assists.

Sandburg pushed their record up to 29-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-13 record this season.

Sandburg has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Lincoln-Way Central on the 21st. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they will challenge Bogan at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
