Basketball Recap: Lockhart Comes Up Short

Lockhart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They fell 53-46 to the Cedar Park Timberwolves. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 978th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 158th).

Lockhart's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Cedar Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lockhart is set to face off against their familiar foe Leander at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cedar Park will square off against rival Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
